Indianapolis International Film Festival
I am so excited to announce that Seasons of Love has been accepted to the
7th Annual Indianapolis International Film Festival! This will be the film’s Midwest premiere.
It will screen twice as a part of the Indy Film Fest’s shorts program, Love Bites. The first screening is on Saturday, July 17 at 1pm and the second on Monday, July 19 at 5:15pm.
“Are they the little nips you get from an affectionate partner? Or is it the perpetual state of an emotion that’s never any good? The answer in these nine films is yes. From a conversation lost in translation to the lengths we’ll go to for the one we love, you’ll enjoy a few great films — and so will your heart.” (Love Bites program description courtesy of indyfilmfest.org)
I’m desperately trying to attend the festival. Hopefully my work lets me miss a day or two… but we’ll see. Anyone want to come with me? Seriously.
Womanimation! Film Festival
Seasons of Love has been accepted to the Womanimation! Film Festival, a festival that showcases animated films created by women from around the world. The festival takes place Mother’s Day Weekend on May 8 and 9 at the Cape Ann Community Cinema in Gloucester, Massachusetts.
More info about the festival from Womanimation!’s website…
“This year’s program highlights ten animated shorts that celebrate motherhood and the cycle of life with tales of humor and heartache.
Women taking part include both up-and-coming and established animators, including Emma Lazenby, winner of the 2010 BAFTA for animated short; Nora Twomey from the Academy Award nominated Secret of Kells; and Signe Baumane, whose work has screened in Berlin, Sundance, and many other prestigious festivals.”
